Bad to the Bone!!! - 1/19th INF OSUT Graduation, 7-May-04, Fort Benning, Ga.

This is a new production of the combined Alpha Co, 1/19th INF & Alpha Co, 2/58th INF OSUT (basic training and AIT) graduation at Fort Benning, Georgia, which I taped on 7 May 2004.

What an awesome event! If you, or anyone you know, ever went through basic training at Fort Benning, then you will want to see this!

You WILL NOT want to miss the "Infantry Assault" demonstration of firepower. It was conducted to the pounding tune of George Thorogood's "Bad to the bone". It included M2 Bradley armored fighting vehicles racing around the field, 60mm Mortar squads, and fully camouflaged soldiers (armed with M-4 carbines, the M-249SAW, M-203 Grenade/Rifle combo, M-16A4s and the M-136AT4 Light Anti-tank Weapon) coming through a cloud of colored smoke and pyrotechnics, with weapons blazing!! HOOAH!!! ROCK STEADY, DRILL SERGEANT, ROCK STEADY!!!

This video is 60+ minutes long and even though it is of 1/19th and 2/58th, it still captures all the excitement of being at Fort Benning to see any class of our Nation's newest infantry soldiers graduate "Basic Training".

Photos of the Graduation are available HERE

OSUT GRADUATION is available on VHS, S-VHS or DVD+R for $9.95 +S&H.

Rock Steady!!! - 1/19th INF "Turning Blue", 6-May-04, Fort Benning, Ga.

This is a new production of the Alpha Co, 1/19th INF "Turning Blue" ceremony at Fort Benning, Georgia, which I taped on 6-May-2004.

At Fort Benning, where many soldiers attend basic training, there is a ceremony the day before graduation called Turning Blue. Turning Blue is an impressive ceremony where the soldier is specifically assigned to the Infantry. One of his family members or other loved one is given the opportunity to attach a blue Infantry cord to his Class A uniform.

This video is 40 minutes long. Although the focus is mainly on 1st platoon, it still captures the excitement of this impressive ceremony.

TURNING BLUE is available on VHS, S-VHS or DVD+R for $9.95 +S&H.

OSUT is an acronym for One-Station Unit Training. This applies to soldiers in the Infantry. The Infantry has combined its Basic Training and AIT to be one 14-week long training session.
